CRENSHAW RAIL
One again our community is being used to support the economy of people who do not live or contribute to the well being of our residents. In this time of economic hardship the holders of power in our city say no to local contractors that hire local people. Black contractors are totally ignored and those who are approved neglect to hire Blacks from the community. It comes as no surprise to me that this pattern continues to go on and on. We are given lip service to appease us then once again locked out. It is time for this community to get angry and from my point of view issue an ultimatum IF WE DO NOT WORK THEN NOBODY SHALL WORK , I think that is a phrase coined by a friend of our community DANNY BAKEWELL . Well its time has come again. The idea of rail sounds really good for the community, yet undeneath is a whole different picture. Our input is ignored, the idea of real transparency is again lip service not action, employment is selectively pushed to those outside our communities. Over and over again those who can afford it the least suffer the most in terms of imposition and saftey. Wake -Up South Central,Stand Up, ORANGE COUNTY CONTRACTORS, LABOR FROM OUTSIDE THE COMMUNITY, OH THAT IS RIGHT WE DO NOT HAVE A SKILLED LABOR FORCE IN SOUTH CENTRAL , all we have are failing schools, houses in foreclosure, and do not forget all our children in foster care and a drain on the Social Service network. Question is this RACISIM or just business as usual?
